Leopard Print

Happy New Year's Eve everyone!!! This is the manicure I did for tonight. I was trying to figure out what to wear and my sister said I should wear my leopard Steve Madden flats and to paint my nails to match so I did :)

Did you do anything special for your New Years Manicure??

Abstract

I ended up leaving the nail polish I brought home for thanksgiving break home. Big mistake. I thought maybe it would help me concentrate more on finals, but now I’m just concentrating on the fact that I have limited color selection. I don’t know how I’m going to go a month without Seche. Wah.

So anyways, the polishes I used were:

• *Base Coat* SALLY HANSEN  - Double Duty
• e.l.f. - Mint Cream
• ESSIE - Borrowed & Blue
• OPI - Glitzerland
• SALLY HANSEN XTREME WEAR - Lacey Lilac, Mint Sorbet, & Pacific Blue.
• *Top Coat* ESSIE - Matte About You

This one is kind of abstract. I’m not really sure how I feel about it.

OPI Mermaid's Tears

This polish had been on my wishlist for SO long. Every time I went to the store I would search for it and it would never be there. I went to an ULTA that's like a half hour away and, lo and behold, they had it! So naturally I bought it along with like 12 other polishes. This ULTA was legitimately stocked on everything (except Essie's Matte About You..grr).

I used 2 coats of Mermaid's Tears for full opacity. I really like the coverage this polish provides. It's such a nice color! The application was so smooth.

Then I decided to do a gold tip with glitter gradient sort of. I love the combination of gold and this polish. I used OPI's Glitzerland on the very tip and CG's Gold Rush for the sparkle. I'm not very good at gradients, but I still like how this turned out.

I topped it with a coat of Seche Vite.
