Faded Leopard Print

Faded leopard print nails :)

I used Essie Sand Tropez as the base and sponged on Zoya Kristen. The leopard spots are Zoya Caitlin. On top is  Northern Lights Holographic Top Coat.

Butterfly Nails

Here are butterfly nails I did on a friend on mine a few weeks ago!  (Hi Jess - you're famous now!)

I used Zoya Caitlin for the base and sponged Zoya Neeka on the tips.
Added Northern Lights Hologram Top Coat.

Born Pretty Store Review

Hi Readers!

Back in December I ordered a few things from Born Pretty Store.  I just wanted to give a quick review of the products I bought and of the company!

I wish I had gotten this post up sooner, but I just found it in my drafts folder :(

I can't say enough how much I love this company. They have inexpensive products and amazing customer service.

Since I've waited so long I've had the opportunity to use basically everything I've ordered and haven't had a problem with anything.

First Order:
  • 16 piece Stamping Plates [$18.48]
  • 15 piece Nail Art Brush Set [$4.74]
  • 3X Rhinestone Wheels with 4X Nail Glue [$12.24]
  • Stamper/Scraper [$3.03]

The stamp templates have been great! I only had a problem with one where the pattern wasn't engraved deep enough but it still works for the most part. The other 19 plates are great! I'd say 1 out of 20 isn't bad. The stamper has worked perfectly and much like any other stamper you could buy online.

I love the brush set. I use all of them for my nail art and they are pretty good quality for such an inexpensive price. I just clean them with nail polish and they have held up well.

Second Order:
  • 4 Stamping Plates [$2.99/each]
  • 500 False Full Acrylic Nail Tips [$5.63]
  • Rhinestone Wheel [$3.33]
  • Nail Files [$3.80]
  • 2x Pump Dispenser [$3.90]
  • 2x Nail Art Tips Display [$6.76 for both]
I haven't used the tips much, but did practice galaxy nails on them. They are a bit long for my taste so I used the files I bought to trim them down. The files aren't pictured.

Practicing Galaxy Nails on the Tips Display!

Overall, this company is great. I love the products and customer service is unlike any other. They are quick to respond with any questions and concerns!

Has anyone else tried BornPrettyStore?

Let me know what you think!

butter LONDON - Victoriana

Hii
Today's post is butter LONDON's - Victoriana. Yayy. I love butter LONDON.

This polish is amazing.
"A textured twinkling vintage blue pale and slightly smoky. Things reminiscent of the Victorian era, such as corsets, top hats and Syphilis." - butter LONDON
It really does have a twinkle to it. It says it is textured, but it has a pretty smooth finish.

Below are some macro shots to see the texture effect.

I LOVE THIS POLISH.

Has anyone else tried it? What do you think?

Essie - A Cut Above

This is Essie's A Cut Above from the Luxeffects collection. It's a clear based polish with large pink hex glitters along with smaller glitters. The glitter goes on so well. One coat is all it takes to get the look shown. A Cut Above is layered over Julep Leighton which I posted yesterday. I'm not a huge fan of Leighton but I think A Cut Above looks nice with it.

I used Palladio's High Shine Top Coat. It doesn't dry as fast as Seche Vite but it does have a nice glossy finish.

I'm loving the Luxeffects collection.

Has anyone else tried A Cut Above? Did you layer it or wear it alone?

No. 7 Stay Perfect - Milan

This is a polish my sister got me when she went to France. It is No 7 Stay Perfect in Milan (110). It's a pink and silver chrome finish. It definitely changes colors in different lighting. What surprised me the most about this color was the opacity. Usually with chromatic polishes I find myself needing a few coats for even full coverage, but this only needed 2. One coat probably would have been fine but I just did 2 out of habit.

I like the color a lot!

My only negative about this polish is it leaves glitter all over your nails. I would definitely be prepared to used a strong remover and more than a few cotton balls.

Has anyone else tried No7 nail polishes? Do you recommend any other shades?

Talk soon!

Julep - Leighton

Julep - Leighton

This is Julep - Leighton. I got it in one of my Maven boxes I don't remember which one. I used Julep Nail Therapy as a base coat and I'm really regretting it. It went on bumpy? I don't know. I didn't shake the bottle or anything like that but it left air bubbles like no other. You can really see them on my pinky.  I'll have to give it another go and see if the polish has settled maybe it was just because it was the first time I used it? Blah.

Anyways, on to Leighton... Leighton is a nice chromatic silver polish. It's pretty standard as silvers go. The formula looks pretty thick in the bottle, but goes on fairly thin and has great coverage. It only took one coat to be completely opaque but SUPER streaky. I used another coat in hopes it would get rid of the streaks but that didn't work. Kind of disappointing. Not really feeling this polish as a stand alone, but with nail art or layering I could learn to like it.

Leighton is not on the Julep site, not sure if it's sold out or taken off the shelves, but you may still be able to purchase else where?

Leighton is a pretty color, just not sure if it's worth the $14 price tag with it being so streaky.

Has anyone else tried this color? What did you think?
